③ In accordance with the proviso to Article 13 (2) of the Act, social workers engaged in social welfare corporations or social welfare facilities shall receive refresher training for at least 8 hours per year. However, continuing education is exempted for those who fall under any of the following subparagraphs: 좋은뉴스
1. A person who has not worked for a social welfare corporation or social welfare facility for more than 6 months in the relevant year due to unavoidable reasons such as military service, illness, overseas stay, or leave of absence;
2. A person who has received supplementary education in accordance with each item of subparagraph 1 of Article 2 of the Act;
2 of 2. A person who is majoring in social welfare or social work at a school under Article 2 of the Higher Education Act
3. A person recognized by the Minister of Health and Welfare that it is difficult to receive continuing education for other unavoidable reasons.
○ Contents of No. 1
– Those who stay abroad for more than 6 months due to overseas dispatch work or overseas training
– Those who have not worked for more than 6 months due to maternity or maternity leave
※ It means that you are working at a social welfare corporation or social welfare facility on the document, but you are not actually working at the place of work for the above reasons.
○ Contents of No. 2
– Persons who have completed remuneration training in accordance with Article 75 of the 「Welfare Act for Persons with Disabilities」
– Persons working in childcare facilities who have completed or are planning to complete refresher education in accordance with Articles 23 and 23-2 of the 「Infant Care Act」
– Workers who have completed remuneration training in accordance with Article 20 of the 「Act on Prevention of Prostitution and Protection of Victims」
– Workers who have completed continuing education in accordance with Article 17 (3) of the 「Act on Promotion of Mental Health and Welfare Services for Mental Illness」 (applicable from 2017)
– Workers who have completed refresher education in accordance with Article 20 of the 「Act on Prevention of Sexual Violence and Victim Protection, Etc.」
– Workers who have completed remuneration training in accordance with Article 20 (4) of the 「Act on Special Cases for Adoption」 (applicable from 2015)
– Workers who have completed remedial education in accordance with Article 8-4 of the 「Act on the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Protection of Victims, etc.」
– Persons who have completed refresher education in accordance with Article 12-2 of the 「Multicultural Families Support Act」
– Others who have received remuneration training prescribed by the Minister of Health and Welfare in accordance with the provisions of each item of subparagraph 1 of Article 2 of the Social Welfare Service Act (repair training for vocational rehabilitation facilities, etc.)
○ Contents of 2-2
– Persons majoring in social welfare or social work studies at a school in accordance with Article 2 of the Higher Education Act pursuant to Article 5 (2) 2 2 of the Enforcement Regulations of the Social Welfare Work Act (applicable from 2015)
※ Social Welfare or Social Work major refers to the department, major, or degree to be acquired is ‘Social Welfare Studies’ or ‘Social Work Studies’, and similar departments are not applicable.
○ Contents of No. 3
※ An unavoidable reason is a person who has virtually made it difficult to receive remedial education during the year due to an unexpected accident such as a natural disaster, etc.
